Focus on Fall Abroad Community

GW Students at Winter Market in Germany

Each year, more GW undergraduates choose to study abroad in the fall, joining the growing, innovative Focus on Fall Abroad Community (FOFAC).  They return to campus in the spring to live along with international exchange students in a Global Living and Learning Community specially designed to extend the benefits of their study abroad experience.  FOFAC participants enjoy exclusive opportunities that help broaden their world view and connect them with fellow student travelers.  Foreign language practice, cross-cultural experiences, and early exposure to professional career opportunities that hone their international interests are just a few of the amenities available to them.

Here are some more:

  • Immersion in a global community before and during the study abroad experience through special events, FOFAC newsletters, and social media
  • Privileged, early registration for spring courses
  • Housing opportunities in the FOFAC Living and Learning Community with study abroad returnees
  • Dozens of exclusive, free international events and career workshops
  • Tuition awards for participation in designated Study Center programs
