International Students
Each year GW welcomes more than 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students from around the world to its campuses. Representing more than 130 countries, these students help embue the classroom with diverse perspectives on learning, history, and the future, and enrich campus life with broad cultural traditions, new means of expression, and varied technological and artistic skills. The university provides specialized services, programs, and other amenities to both enable international students to integrate into the GW community and facilitate learning and professional linkages that will cross borders throughout their lifetime.
GW’s International Services Office helps international students obtain visas and complete immigration processing so they can take full advantage of educational opportunities as soon as they arrive in the United States, including relevant work experiences during and after their studies. The International Services Office also provides orientation and advises about activities and programs that enrich learning, including English conversation groups and workshops on topics affecting study and work while in the United States.
International undergraduates, graduate students, and high school students interested in summer study are invited to enroll in International Summer at GW.
